Z. J. Jallah is a former refugee from Liberia who now wears multiple hats in the IT and NGO sectors in the USA and Liberia. He is a Senior Business Analyst for Geisinger Health Plan in the US, where he focuses on building various software platforms for the company’s half a million patients across the United States. As the Regional Director at GivingTuesday’s Starling Collective for the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean, he annually leads learning sessions on Building a Movement, Measurement, Storytelling and Communications. And as the GivingTuesday’s Global Leader of Liberia, his work focuses on sponsoring 100 students’ education each year through a youth empowerment services organization he founded in Liberia (YesLiberia). Jallah also currently serves on the GivingTuesday’s board, where he provides advice and insights on GivingTuesday’s footprints and approach in Africa.
Jallah has won the African Students’ Humanda Award at Penn State University and the Liberian Image Award for developing a platform, prior to Facebook, that allowed Liberians across the globe to find their missing family members during the civil wars in Liberia.
