Amitabh is a seasoned organizational leader with over 34 years of varied experience in marquee organizations such as UDS; Quess Corp.; Reliance Jio; Monsanto; Pepsico; GE and VIP Industries. In these organizations he held various roles across functions and geographies and has helped organizations grow and navigate different business stages – from start-up to stabilization; steady state; hyper growth; M&A led integration and also a successful public listing (IPO). Amitabh’s career has successfully spanned diverse sectors such as Consumer Products; FMCG; Telecoms, Industrial Products; Agriculture; Business Services and now the Philanthropy and Development sector. He has a Bachelor of Science in physics from Mumbai University and is an XLRI alumnus from the business management batch of 89.

Amitabh wears various other hats as well – he is very invested in community support initiatives and is a member of Social Venture Partners (SVP) Mumbai chapter; is a visiting faculty member at prestigious management schools in India and is on the Board of UDS Ltd. He is also pursuing professional coaching accreditation to better help people reach their full professional and personal potential.

Currently, he is the CEO of Accelerate Indian Philanthropy (AIP), a not-for-profit organization, aimed at catalyzing philanthropy amongst wealth creators to encourage them to Give More, Give Sooner, and Give Better.

He has converted his deep interest in philanthropy and the development sector to a lifelong mission to establish AIP as a leading facilitator and catalyst for personal philanthropy in India and as a powerful network “of philanthropists, by philanthropists”.
