At the 2024 APF Conference, the health and safety of our attendees are paramount. We understand the importance of staying informed about any potential health concerns, particularly when traveling internationally. In preparation for the conference, we’ve worked closely with health authorities to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Below, you’ll find essential health updates and guidelines to help you prepare for your trip to Marrakech and enjoy the conference.
While in Morocco, it is advisable to avoid drinking untreated tap water. Safe drinking water is readily available in hotels, riads, and other accommodations, so you can easily stay hydrated without concern.
No COVID-19 or yellow fever vaccination is required for travel to Morocco. However, we recommend staying informed about any local COVID-19 guidelines during your stay.
As the 2024 APF Conference approaches, we want to reassure all participants that the recent Mpox outbreak will not affect our event. After extensive consultations with the World Health Organization (WHO), Africa CDC, and Moroccan health authorities, we have confirmed there is no significant risk, as Mpox primarily spreads through close physical contact.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable conference, we encourage attendees to follow these simple precautions:
Your safety remains our top priority, and we are fully committed to providing a secure environment for all participants.
If you have any concerns or require more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to welcoming you to Marrakech on October 27, 2024.
