Serving as the Issroff Family Foundation’s Executive Director, Lisa designs and manages programming, resources, and networks that can be leveraged to improve outcomes for children and youth and the communities in which they reside. Building on her prior work as an educator and her ongoing experience coaching, mentoring, and engaging leaders, Lisa is particularly focused on helping support the capacity and resilience of emergent leaders and community-based organizations, especially in East and Southern Africa and New York City.
Prior to and alongside her work with the Foundation, Lisa has had the opportunity to serve on the following for-impact organizations’ boards: Agahozo Shalom Youth Village, Educate!, Ongoza, Generation Citizen, Afrika Tikkun (US Advisory Board), and African Leadership Academy. These experiences have highlighted the importance of good governance when building impactful and sustainable organizations; therefore supporting the development of strong nonprofit boards can be found woven into much of the Foundation’s programming. Lisa is also increasingly interested in the subject of intentional leadership transitions.
