Dr Lindlyn Tamufor Moma is the Director for Strategic Impact at the International Institute of Environment and Development. She is a pracademic and advocates for a human and environmental rights approach to transitioning for development within the climate, environmental and inequality crises. Before joining IIED, Lindlyn was the Africa programme Director for Greenpeace Africa and Regional Advocacy Manager at WaterAid. For five years at Third World Network Africa, she co-led the African Initiative on Mining and Environment and served on the initial secretariat that drafted the African Mining Vision. For the last 3.5 years, she led advocacy globally for the Laudato Si Movement; a movement to mobilise the Catholic community behind climate and ecological justice.
Dr Tamufor Moma holds a Master’s and PhD in law and human rights, focusing on energy just transition and human rights to live in a healthy environment. She has worked as an editor for the Africa Human Rights Law Journal and is a guest lecturer on climate change and human rights at the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria’s Law School.
She serves on the advisory board of the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance and Rasom We Stand.
