Marie-Louise Gourlay is Forward Global’s Managing Director, Europe. She’s worked in social change for the last 15+ years, and within the philanthropy sector for the last 10 years, with a particular interest in strengthening the sector in order to achieve greater systemic change.

Marie-Louise works closely with philanthropists globally to build their know-how, best practices and connections to grow collaborative impact and tackle the greatest societal issues. She leads on European partnerships & programmes for organisational impact . She has a special interest in leading global immersive learning journeys focused on learning, mindset shifts and mobilising action.

Previously, Marie-Louise was Head of the CFO’s office at the British Council, focussed on programmes relating to global health, security and education, building on her previous experiences of spending 4 years working with grassroots NGOs in Zambia, India and Kenya focussed on education, health & livelihoods at community level. Marie-Louise holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Modern Languages from the University of Bath. Marie-Louise is based in London.
