System Change

The African Philanthropy systems change initiative aims to accelerate systems change initiatives on the continent by bringing together a cohort of leaders and embedding them in a programme that encourages systems entrepreneurship.

The aim of the programme is to accelerate systems change initiatives on the continent.

The programme will train and nurture systems entrepreneurs across the continent to enable them to cultivate conditions that make the system change possible.

Programme Outline

The programme will run for 6 months working with a cohort of leaders from across the African continent
The program is a direct response to the need for leadership cultivation and a new way of thinking when considering Africa’s problems and solutions
The program is aimed at addressing systemic challenges in multiple SDG areas including health, education, youth, women and children, nutrition, and economic empowerment.
The program is focused on skills building around leadership development, capacity building, communications, public policy, organizing, financial sustainability, and development ideas
The programme will benefit from a ready pool of systems entrepreneurs that can access funding for big ideas.

The programme provides an unique opportunity for selected leaders to access a global network of funders and philanthropists, to build a network of like-minded leaders and to develop a systems entrepreneurship mindset.
