Upon payment of the conference registration fee, APF will provide a Letter of Introduction confirming your participation in the conference. This letter may be used to support your visa application where required.
Travelers arriving from countries where Yellow Fever is endemic may be required to present a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate upon entry into South Africa.

South Africa is a diverse and multicultural nation, often referred to as the “Rainbow Nation.” Visitors are encouraged to respect local customs, traditions, and cultural differences. While dress codes are generally relaxed, modest attire is recommended when visiting places of worship or participating in cultural activities.
Always seek permission before photographing individuals, particularly in rural communities or cultural settings.

Credit and debit cards are widely accepted throughout South Africa, including at hotels, restaurants, shopping centres, and major tourist attractions. ATMs are readily available in urban areas, airports, and shopping malls. It is advisable to exchange currency through authorized banks, bureaux de change, or airport exchange services.
The conference will take place during South Africa’s spring season. Weather conditions vary by region, but delegates can generally expect mild to warm temperatures during the day and cooler temperatures in the evenings.
For Cape Town, daytime temperatures typically range between 18°C and 25°C, while evenings can be considerably cooler. Delegates are advised to pack light clothing for daytime activities, along with a sweater, light jacket, or windbreaker for evenings and early mornings.
Comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are also recommended for outdoor activities and excursions.
